Active members are fully trained and accredited European neurosurgeons with an active interest in pediatric neurosurgery. They must hold a current license to practice neurosurgery in their own country and be a member of their national Neurosurgical Society. Letters of support from two active members are required and a curriculum vitae must be submitted.

In order to obtain active membership, neurosurgeons in training must first submit an application, producing letters of support from two active members and a curriculum vitae. The application is then examined during one of the annual ESPN meetings. After being officially acclaimed an ESPN member, candidates must pay the active member’s fee for the year of their official acclamation in order to confirm their membership and receive all the relevant privileges.
